Given his touring schedule, Justin Bieber is unable to attend the Teen Choice Awards in person this year. The Teen Choice producers took the opportunity to pre-tape an acceptance speech covering all four of his nomination categories while he was in Arizona last week so that they could use it in the event he wins them. Any categories he does not win will be edited out for broadcast. Voting for the Teen Choice Awards is still very much open.

Music sensations and TEEN CHOICE nominees Jason Derulo and Travie McCoy are set to perform at TEEN CHOICE 2010 airing Monday, Aug. 9 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Derulo will sing his chart-topping single "In My Head,' and McCoy will perform his smash hit "Billionaire' with Bruno Mars.
Hosted by Katy Perry, TEEN CHOICE 2010 celebrates the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion. Miami-born Jason Derulo has ruled the airwaves this year with three hit singles – "Whatcha Say,' "In My Head' and "Ridin' Solo' – from his self-titled debut album. The 20-year-old singer, songwriter, dancer and actor became the first male solo artist to score consecutive No. 1's on Billboard's pop songs radio airplay chart in the chart's 17-year history with his first two entries. His third single, "Ridin' Solo,' quickly reached platinum status, while its accompanying video has already garnered 12 million views online. Derulo has sold more than 8 million singles and 600,000 albums worldwide, and was nominated for three TEEN CHOICE Awards. This month, he hit the road as support for The Black Eyed Peas in Canada and will then headline a U.S. tour that kicks off at the end of September.
Known as the charismatic frontman of alternative hip-hop band Gym Class Heroes, Travie McCoy recently released his debut solo album, "Lazarus.' The album's first single, "Billionaire' (feat. Bruno Mars), was named one of the Summer's Biggest Songs by Entertainment Weekly, has already earned RIAA-certified platinum status for sales exceeding 1 million units and was nominated for a TEEN CHOICE Award. McCoy first rose to stardom in 2006 as part of Gym Class Heroes, whose RIAA-certified gold album, "As Cruel As School Children,' featured the No. 1 hit, "Cupid's Chokehold/Breakfast In America.' In 2007, the band was awarded Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards and Choice Breakout Group at the TEEN CHOICE Awards. Gym Class Heroes is currently at work on their next album, which is due out next year.
Singer/songwriter/producer Bruno Mars burst on the scene this year with his chart-topping collaborations with Travie McCoy and B.o.B. Mars' debut album is set for release this fall, and his current single, "Just The Way You Are,' is out now.

CHOICE "CALIFORNIA GURL" KATY PERRY TO HOST AND PERFORM ON "TEEN CHOICE 2010" MONDAY, AUGUST 9, ON FOX
Pop sensation and multi-platinum recording artist Katy Perry is set to host TEEN CHOICE 2010 airing Monday, Aug. 9 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The Grammy-nominated artist will also perform during the 12th annual special that celebrates the year's hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion.
TEEN CHOICE 2010 will award the coveted Teen Choice Surfboard awards to the year's coolest stars in categories such as Choice TV Villain, Choice Scene Stealer and the newest entry, Choice Country Music Artist. A co-host, nominees, presenters and additional performers will be announced soon.
Singer-songwriter Katy Perry has gone from internet music sensation to bona fide international star in just two years. Her multi-platinum debut album, "One of the Boys," generated four hit singles: "I Kissed A Girl," "Hot N Cold," "Thinking Of You" and "Waking Up In Vegas." This August, the Grammy-nominated artist will release her next album, "Teenage Dream," which features "California Gurls," the fastest-rising single to Top 10 radio in more than four years.
In addition to selling five million albums worldwide, the Santa Barbara, CA-born Perry has appeared on the covers of dozens of publications, including Seventeen, Cosmopolitan and Glamour.
